Edward Fletcher

Branch 1111 President

Ed Fletcher has been serving as a City Letter Carrier since March of 1985 in the Oakland Post Office. . He later transferred to the Union City Post Office in September of 1985. In 1988 he became a local shop steward in Union City. In 1990 he became chief steward in Union City. Ed was one of the first NALC Dispute Resolution Team members for the Bay Valley District. He has served multiple roles within Branch 1111 such as 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st Vice President, and Executive Vice President. In November of 2015 he was elected as President of Branch 1111 in which he currently serves. Over his thirty-five year tenure with the NALC, he has attended multiple training given by National NALC, NBA, CSALC. He is certified in OWCP given by San Francisco Department of Labor.

Offices served: Oakland - Airport, Eastmont, Emeryville, Piedmont, WGCA, and Union City.


Narciso Paderanga, IV

Executive Vice President

Narciso was first hired as a carrier at the Walnut Creek Post Office in 1995. He became a local shop steward at the Lafayette PO in 2008. Narciso has served on the Bay Valley Dispute Resolution team from November 2009 through November 2013. He became a full time officer, elected as 4th Vice President of Branch 1111 in November of 2013. In November of 2015 he was elected as 2nd Vice President and then in November of 2017 he was elected as 1st Vice President. In November 2023, he was elected as Executive Vice President which he currently serves. He has also completed Arbitration training at the national level, and presented his first arbitration case in 2024.

Offices Served: Alamo, Fremont, Lafayette, Oakland (Civic Center, Laurel, and North Oakland Stations).


Mary Abante

1st vice President

Offices Served: Alameda, Clayton, Martinez, Pittsburg, Benicia, and Rodeo.

Mary Abante has spent 31 years with the Postal Service and with much experience with NALC in the compacity of a Chief Steward in the Concord Installation. Her training consists of Advanced Formal Training, OWCP Training, Food Drive Coordinator, and Dispute Resolution Team (DRT) Training. Mary has been a Steward since 2014 fighting for not only the carriers in her own office but now as an elected officer for all Letter Carriers in our Branch. Mary wants change, and with her now being a vital addition to our team, we will be that much closer stronger in enforcing and achieving that change.



Terrence Lee Super

2nd Vice president

Terrence started as a TE (Transitional employee) at the Fairfield PO in 2007. TEs at this time had no path to career status and could be let go at any time. Terrence served as a TE until 2013, when he was converted to a CCA per the DAS award which created the CCA class. He was trained and certified as a shop steward in the Fairfield PO in 2012 and three years later in 2015 was trained and certified as a Formal Step A designee, then appointed as Chief Shop Steward of Fairfield. Terrence has represented letter carriers in his own office and also for National NALC when he was detailed to work on a falsification of clock rings case out of the San Jose PO that spanned over three years. In August of 2019 he was appointed to take over the remainder for the 2019 term of the 2nd Vice President Position of Branch 1111 and was elected by acclimation as a full-time officer for Branch 1111 as Fourth Vice President in November of 2019. Terrence has attended various trainings covering multiple topics such as route inspections, clock ring falsification, formal a and beyond, etc. to better represent the NALC Branch 1111 membership. He is dedicated to battling for the rights of his fellow letter carrier.

Eddie Murphy

3rd Vice president.

Offices Served: Pleasanton, El Cerrito, Richmond, Livermore, and Pinole.

Eddie Murphy is one of Branch 1111’s strongest negotiators and has used his skills to excel as a Union rep for the Pleasanton Post office. Murphy is a Military Veteran, with a combined 36 years of Service including the Postal Service. He has been Formal Step A Trained and has held the office of Shop Steward, Chief Shop Steward and now as Branch 1111’s 3rd Vice President and Full-Time-Officer. He is well versed in our Collective Bargaining Agreement and has also been a Replacement Officer. Because of Murphy’s skill set, he has become one of the fastest Stewards to become an Officer of the Branch, and he continues to improve his skills and will be one of Branch 1111’s strongest Union Representatives.
